The event, which held at Protea Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos, was designed to help reposition the radio station in the minds of its numerous stakeholders in the media buying and planning industry, as well as re-energize its revenue drive.
The programme was also meant to educate and enlightened stakeholders and keep them abreast of the station’s various programmes, which is regarded as the number one talk, news, and sport station in the country.
Group Managing Director of AIM Group, owners of Nigeria Info FM, Mr. Amin Moussali, said the station was established to meet the needs of Nigerians, stressing that the station was created to fill the gaps in areas where other stations could not cover.
Moussali noted that the station primarily focuses on covering talks, news and sports, adding that it was the first station that began talks through engaging with the audience with a touch of entertainment and fun.
According to him, “We decided to focus on talks because we found out that Nigerians love to talk. We cover the majority of the audience since we started operations five years ago. Other areas of our focus are news and sports because we know that most Nigerians also love sports.”
While speaking in the same vein, Director, Marketing and Business Development, Mrs. Venus Bande, said Nigerians are the ones pioneering the show during every radio programme in the station, assuring media planning practitioners that Nigeria Info FM was the best station for their brands.
She said: “Today’s forum is to tell our stakeholders, including the media buying and planning agencies and media independent about what we do and the fact that we are taken seriously by the Nigerian audience. We have consistently been rated as the number four most listened to radio station in Nigeria. We want to use this forum to educate them that this is who we are and this is the direction that you should take if you are looking for the top-of-mind awareness for your clients brands.”
