YPFG drives N560m in community savings, marks 5th year anniversary

Your Personal Finance Girl (YPFG) has marked its fifth anniversary, having empowered over 70,000 Nigerians and facilitated cumulative community savings that surged from ₦120 million in 2024 to an unprecedented ₦560 million in 2025.

Five years ago, Oluchukwu Chiadika began what would become one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing digital financial literacy movements, from the floor of her family’s sitting room.

Founded on March 1, 2021, and formally incorporated as a Limited Company in August 2024, YPFG has evolved from a social media initiative into a digital-first financial literacy and strategy firm, leveraging technology and community-driven education to break down barriers to wealth creation.

Operating entirely within the digital ecosystem, YPFG has built a 70,000-strong community where saving is only the foundation and investing is the expectation. Through structured education, accountability systems, and digital financial tools, the platform has cultivated a culture of disciplined wealth building among young Nigerians and working professionals.

Under Chiadika’s leadership, the brand’s growth trajectory has been both strategic and measurable:
Community savings increased from ₦120 million in 2024 to ₦560 million in 2025, three e-books and one published book authored, over 210 speaking engagements delivered nationwide, including more than 60 appearances in 2025 alone, over 15 television and radio features, over 10 national newspaper features, and six prestigious award nominations recognising impact in financial literacy and youth empowerment.

To commemorate its fifth anniversary, YPFG announced the restock of its flagship Personal Finance Journal and the launch of “Project 100,000,” an ambitious initiative aimed at driving financial literacy and inclusion to 100,000 individuals across Nigeria.

The initiative will provide participants with digital planning templates, budgeting systems, and investment tracking tools designed to foster long-term wealth creation.

Reflecting on the journey, Chiadika said: “Five years ago, I sat on the floor of my family house unsure of how this vision would unfold, but ready to try.

When we reached our first 1,000 followers in November 2021, I realised this was more than a page, it was a movement. With the launch of Project 100,000, we are doubling down on our mission to ensure no one is left behind in the digital economy.”

Your Personal Finance Girl represents a new wave of financial education in Nigeria, one that combines community accountability, digital accessibility, and practical wealth-building frameworks. By simplifying complex financial concepts and embedding discipline into everyday financial habits, the platform aims to transform ordinary earners into confident investors and long-term wealth builders.

As Nigeria continues to grapple with economic uncertainty and youth unemployment, digital financial literacy platforms such as YPFG are emerging as critical tools for economic empowerment and resilience.

Your Personal Finance Girl is a digital-first financial literacy and strategy firm founded by Oluchukwu Chiadika in 2021. The company specialises in making complex financial concepts accessible through digital community-building, structured journals, and high-impact financial training programmes.
