The Naija Brand Chick (NBC) TradeFair continues to break records, generating a cumulative ₦500 million in sales across its Kano and Kaduna editions in just five days. Recognized as a leading platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria, the trade fair attracted over 50,000 buyers, solidifying its position as a key driver of business growth and economic empowerment.

Under the leadership of Nelly Agbogu, widely known as NaijaBrandChick, the NBC TradeFair has become more than just an event—it is a movement dedicated to helping African entrepreneurs thrive by connecting them with their target markets and fostering lasting business relationships.

The Kano edition of the NBC TradeFair was held at the Meena Events Centre from January 31st to February 2nd, 2025. As one of the largest commercial hubs in northern Nigeria, Kano provided the perfect setting for businesses to showcase their products, interact with thousands of potential customers, and forge meaningful partnerships.

The event drew a massive crowd of entrepreneurs, buyers, and investors, creating a vibrant marketplace where businesses could scale beyond the fair.

Vendors experienced significant sales, increased brand visibility, and valuable networking opportunities, proving that Kano is a strategic location for SME expansion.

Beyond sales, the fair facilitated business collaborations, fostering relationships that extended beyond the event itself. Agbogu’s meticulous planning ensured that vendors had prime positioning, high foot traffic, and an engaging customer experience, making the fair a resounding success.

Following the success in Kano, the NBC TradeFair moved to Kaduna on February 22nd and 23rd, 2025, at the Murtala Mohammed Square, Alkali Road. This edition was powered by Wema Bank, which played a key role in supporting SMEs through tailored business toolkits, and access to small business loans.

The lead sponsorship from Wema Bank ensured that vendors not only made sales during the event but also gained access to resources that would help them scale their businesses long after the fair.

Kaduna vendors benefited from a well-organized structure, strategic vendor placement, and live demonstrations that kept buyers engaged. The fair also reinforced the importance of bringing SME-focused events to northern Nigeria, bridging gaps in market access and encouraging regional business growth.

With over ₦500 million in revenue and 50,000 buyers across both fairs, the NBC TradeFair has once again proven its ability to transform the SME landscape in Nigeria. Vendors reported increased brand awareness, higher sales volumes, and valuable business connections, positioning the fair as a catalyst for sustainable business success.

The NBC TradeFair’s success is a testament to Agbogu’s dedication to empowering entrepreneurs by bridging the gap between SMEs and their target markets. By creating a space where vendors can showcase their products, engage with customers, and access financial support, the fair continues to drive economic growth.

As the NBC TradeFair expands across Nigeria and beyond, its impact is set to grow exponentially. The next stop is Uyo (March 29th–30th), followed by Lagos (April 11th–13th), with international editions planned for Houston, New York, Accra, and Cameroon in 2025.

The Kaduna and Kano editions reaffirmed the NBC TradeFair’s role as a driver of economic empowerment, business visibility, and community development. NBC TradeFair is not just an event—it is a movement that celebrates the resilience, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of Africa.
