New president pledges to prioritise students’ interest, welfare
The newly appointed president of The Apostolic Church Grammar School Old Students’ Association (TACGSOSA), Folorunso Omosa (DOS), has promised to put students interest first in all his dealings.
Omosa made the pledge during his swearing-in at Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, where he revealed that his administration’s goals will mainly centre on students and their academic wellbeing.
He said his team would set up a scholarship scheme that would yearly sponsor the best two graduating students of The Apostolic Church Grammar School in Orishigun, through university education.
He added that the necessary infrastructure, facility, and equipment needed to improve the quality of education in the school would be provided.
He called on his executive committee members to be proactive, hardworking and cooperative so that together, they will achieve a common goal.
“I am going to meet with my EXCOs and workout a framework to achieve our set goals that would take this association to the next level. I swear to lead with integrity, accountability, and transparency,” he stated.
Omosa further commended the past presidents of the association for their achievements so far and thanked God for giving them the grace of good leadership.
Vice president of the association, Olufemi Alabi, who promised to help the president-elect achieve his set out goals, further pledge to provide maximum support that would take the association to the next level.
He called on everyone to be supportive and join hands to make the association great.
Meanwhile, the Lady Vice President, Mrs. Ibijoke Balogun, has noted that the school has produced successful people in different fields of life.
She urged members to reach out to more old students and friends to get involved with the association. “Everyone should invite friends that can help push the association forward,” she said.
