Managing Director of FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, Mr. Ben Langat, has reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting the physically challenged in the country.

He said this at the weekend in Lagos while paying a morale-boosting visit to Team Nigeria preparing for the International Para-Powerlifting Tournament, which began yesterday in Eko Hotel, Lagos and ends tomorrow.

FrieslandCampina’s Peak Milk brand, which has been part of the success story of the Paralympics for years, would continue to do so, as it is part of its purpose said Langat.

“They get milk every month from us, and we have renovated this gym where they practice. We have seen that they are unstoppable set of people and this we believe would help them reach higher heights. Some are so young, and giving hope to them means that despite all they have been through, they can still be what they want to be.

We are providing a specially built bus to help them during the competition, the purpose of our brand is reach for your peak, and when Peak nourishes, everybody has the ability and this is the connection,” he said.

One of the athletes identified as Kayode expressed gratitude to the brand for many years of support. “Since Peak came into our lives, we have become world champions, we now train with foreign equipment,” he noted.
