Nigerian financial technology company, Platnova, has marked its second anniversary by unveiling a new corporate headquarters, launching a user engagement campaign, and outlining plans to expand its reach across global markets.
Established in 2023, Platnova provides digital financial services that connect users across more than 13 countries, offering multi-currency transactions, savings, and global payment tools. The company has grown to a user base of over 90,000 verified customers and recorded more than 100,000 app downloads.
At the anniversary event held at its new office, Platnova’s Chief Executive Officer, Benjamin Oyemolan, emphasised the company’s broader vision.
“We didn’t just want to build another money transfer app,” he said. “Platnova is a financial lifestyle brand designed to empower Africans everywhere — through secure transactions, wealth-building tools, and access to global opportunities.”
One of the company’s core offerings, Vault, is a multi-currency savings feature with a 15.5% return on investment. Users can save in U.S. Dollars, Euros, Pounds, and Naira.
The platform also includes virtual and physical debit cards, real-time global money transfers in over 13 currencies, and lifestyle services such as flight bookings, hotel reservations, and restaurant deals.
As part of its second-year milestone, Platnova held a 10-day user appreciation campaign from April 21 to May 1, which featured a Zero Transfer Fee offer and various engagement activities. The event drew participation from stakeholders, top users, and brand ambassadors.
Oyemolan credited the company’s progress to its user community.
“Platnova is what it is today because of our users — the freelancers, students, businesses, and families who believed in us,” he said. “As we enter our third year, we’re doubling down on innovation and accessibility.”
The fintech firm has received recognition from both local and international platforms, including Fastest Growing Fintech Startup in Nigeria, Most Innovative Fintech of the Year, and second runner-up at the Startup World Cup Grand Finale in San Francisco.
Platnova plans to continue expanding its operations in existing and new markets, with a focus on improving onboarding processes, increasing transaction speeds, and enhancing security features. Currently active in over 50 countries and supporting 13 currencies, the company aims to position itself as a comprehensive financial lifestyle partner for Africans globally.
