AAEviction-Fame-CopyAS the competition gets stiffer week in week out, the contestants have also continued to hone their skills, knowing well that a lot is at stake. In the end, the power still lies in the hands of West Africa to determine the ones that have impressed them enough to earn their votes. This time around, their votes saved four contestants except Chike, Arewa, Pearl, Kumi, Oluchi, and Joy.

This was revealed right after the contestants opened the evening with a brilliant tribute performance to the Legendary Fela Anikulapo Kuti. As always, the group performance was a beautiful blend of different vocal prowess rolled into one.

After the six contestants with the lowest viewers’ votes performed again, it was time for the Judges, Faculty, and the contestants that have been saved by viewers’ votes to save one each, but before they made their decisions known, Shola (Season 7 alumni) graced the stage to thrill everyone with one of his hit singles, Amin.

Back to the moment of truth, the Judges saved Arewa, the Faculty chose Pearl, while the contestants’ votes ended in a tie again. The onus to break the tie was then placed on the contestant with the highest viewers votes- Ada. She decided to save Kumi, and this sadly marked the end of Chike, Oluchi, and Joy’s journeys in the competition.

The bundle of talents performed for the last time in the competition with Chike performing Suddenly by D’Banj, Joy did Irawo by Seyi Shay, and Oluchi performed Bimpe by Asa.

For now, Ada has got the highest votes. However, Arewa is really proving to be a very tough competition, especially after her performance of Wizkid’s Ojuelegba; many have tipped her to emerge the winner of project fame season 8. Only time will tell.
