Introduction: Soul winning is drawing man back to his Maker- 2 Cor.5: 18. It is called evangelism and is about producing heaven-bound souls. It is a spiritual assignment for all true children of God. It requires divine assistance – Jn.6: 44. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price for the redemption of every soul – Heb.9: 22. The salvation of a single soul stirs up excitement and celebration in Heaven.

The Heartbeat Of God
God wants every soul saved – 2 Pt.3: 9. Right after the fall of the first Adam, God initiated reconciliation. – Ezek.45: 15; Heb.2: 17. He takes no pleasure in a sinner’s death – Ezek.33: 11. In His mercy, He patiently waits for every man to repent and turn to Him – Is.30: 18. God has more than enough room for every soul on earth – Jer.32: 27- But the souls must turn to Him and turn others to Him– Ezek.18: 4. In fact, God came in the flesh primarily to win souls – Matt.18: 11. We are saved to be used to save others – 2 Cor.5: 18. God is not coming back again to die for sinners. The blood of the wicked shall be required from you, if you fail to win souls – Ezek.33: 7-8. Our heartbeat must be one with God’s– Jer.26: 2.
Tools For Soul winning

Tools For Soul winning
When God commissions a man, He equips and empowers him – Matt.28: 19; Matt.10: 1. The primary requirement for soul winning is to be born again – Mk.3: 13-14. The blind cannot lead the blind.
Here are the tools required by the soul winner:
• To be filled with the Holy Spirit and a good knowledge of the scriptures – Acts 1:8; 1 Tim.3: 16-17.
• Compassion for the salvation of souls – Matt.9: 36; Lk.10: 33.
• Faith in God to save all souls – Jer.32: 27.
• Zeal to go all-out for souls – 1 Cor.9: 22.
• Prayers to remove all obstacles – Rom.10: 1.
• Wisdom to respond to issues and threats – Dan.12: 3; Jn.4: 7-30.
• Sacrifice of personal rights and comfort – 1 Cor.9: 19-20.
• Patience and perseverance. Do not give up.
• Holy living by what you do and not just what you say.
Conclusion

It is the responsibility of every believer to win souls. There is no choice. It is the wise and right thing to do –Pro.11: 30. God will reward soul winners with crowns – 1 Thess.2: 19. The complacent Christian will be punished – Lk.12: 47.
