SPC universe completes first preliminary episode for Africa Innovation Den


Excitement is building up as SPC Universe, commonly referred to as Africa’s largest network for innovators holds the first preliminary episode of the Africa Innovation Den.
Africa Innovation Den is a groundbreaking angel crowdfunding show designed to spotlight Africa’s most promising early stage founders. The show which is set to change the landscape of entrepreneurship and investment on the continent, provides a unique platform for startups to present their innovative ideas to a panel of angel investors and crowdfunding backers

Africa Innovation poses to solve the bureaucracies involved in accessing early stage capital by democratizing the access and allowing startups pitch to multiple Angels at once through a crowdfund style, thereby unlocking more access to liquidity and investment capital on the continent.

The Preliminary Episode was a resounding success with the representing startups which were Boosty (A renewable energy company using solar power to light up homes, schools and hospitals in Africa), Funded AI (A global Ai-agent for all forms of applications and opportunity sharing for innovators), Disp8ch,(A logistics aggregator platform), Adbirt (An Ai-agent solution for advertising), Enforca (A career accelerator platform for talents), Careers Verified (An full stack HR outsourcing firm), Terabyte (A Full stack Marketing development and training firm) and Raum Africa (A full stack proptech firm revolutionizing the short-term rental space in Africa).

The startups received insightful feedback from the panel of judges representing the Angel investors. The representing judges were Golibe Ilechukwu (Founder of Sales School Africa), Amity Peace (Founder of Mangrove), Sidi Saccoh (Business Growth Consultant and Ecosystem builder, General Partner Sidi&CO). The judges shared their thoughts with each of the startups and provided important recommendations for Angel Investors to consider before investments are being made.

Speaking to King David; Founder and CEO of SPC Universe, He emphasised on the importance of more democratized access to investment in Africa and how crowdfunding shows like this can transform how early stage companies in Africa can access capital. He also shared the excitement built up for the grand finale that will be taking place in the month of July in the vibrant city of Nairobi.

The second preliminary episode is set to air on the 20th-22nd March and even more startups are on the lineup to pitch their innovative solutions to Angel investors connecting from across the world.
