The power of knowledge and successful life

“knowledge is Power,” This statement is as accurate as you can ever imagine. Few people understand how important knowledge can be. Knowledge is what prevents us from making the same mistakes we made in the past. Without knowledge, one cannot be successful in life. Knowledge is key when it comes to shaping our personality, behavior and dealings with people. Successful men and women have put their knowledge to good use and have reached noble heights, being remembered for long on this earth. Knowing the importance of knowledge, people must look to the potential avenues to gain knowledge and make use of it positively.

Knowledge about your physical, mental, social and emotional state is very key in an individual’s life. Self-care is any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. Although it is a simple concept in theory, it is something we often overlook. Good self-care is vital to improved mood and reduced anxiety. It is also key to a good relationship with oneself and others.

However, it is important to note that not everything that feels good is self-care. We can all be tempted to use unhealthy coping mechanisms like drugs, alcohol, over-eating, and risk-taking. These self-destructive activities help us to regulate challenging emotions, but the relief is temporary. When practiced correctly, self-care has long-term benefit for the mind, the body, or both. One of the ways of achieving utmost mental, emotional and physical care is through Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a complementary therapy, which helps release negative emotions by tapping on meridian energy points around the body, similar to acupuncture point.

Imagine you are not that fond of public speaking, and you are to deliver a speech to a large crowd of people. Odds are your heart would start racing. You may have a dry throat or sweaty hands, and the emotion you would feel is nervousness. We feel all our emotions in our body. EFT employs gentle tapping on face and body points while integrating specific wording about negative emotions or events into the routine. This helps balance the body’s energy in relationship to that charged emotional issue.

Neuro Linguistic programming deals with how you think, speak and behave. The result, which you are currently getting in your life, is because of how you think, speak and behave. If you want to understand “the patterns that have been delivering your outcomes”, NLP will help you with that. To change your outcome, it is important that you change your thinking.

The core of NLP is modeling the excellence of successful people. In other words, it is a process of studying the structure of subjective experience, particularly the structure of excellence. It is the study of what you currently are like and how well you do what you do. This is the essence of NLP. It is a process of understanding our own selves by observing and understanding the world around us (or vice versa), with a new set of very successful tools and techniques, evolved in the world of NLP by experts.

The more you know about yourself, the better you are at adapting life changes that suit your needs. Essentially, the more you pay attention to your emotions and how they work, the better you will understand why you do the things you do. By making NLP and EFT part of your daily routine, it can help with stress, anxiety, depression and insomnia.
