The Vessel Of Revival (2)

Jesus_christ-6SOMETIMES ago, the Lord asked me if I knew that some people within this Ministry wanted to kill me. I questioned the possibility because at that point in time, I did not understand, but now I have a clearer understanding. There are various ways you can kill a man. For instance, when you try to stop a man on assignment for God, you are killing him. You can also kill a person by the words of your mouth. In Matthew 26:31-35, the Bible says “Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: “I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ But after I have risen, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.” Peter replied, “Even if all fall away on account of you, I never will.” “I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “This very night, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.” Peter told Jesus that he will never deny Him but could not keep this promise. He wept bitterly and repented and this marked the beginning of his brokenness, Matthew 26:69-75. Even though Peter had followed Jesus for several years, he was not broken because there were some things he had not dealt with, self-confidence and pride. It was after he dealt with these weaknesses that he began to do exploits for God.

Some people come to God with prayer requests even though they have already decided in their heart what they want. God says he will not answer them because of the idol in their heart. This principle is clearly stated in Ezekiel 14:1-4 when the Bible records that “Some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat down in front of me. Then the word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces. Should I let them inquire of me at all? Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: When any Israelite sets up idols in his heart and puts a wicked stumbling block before his face and then goes to a prophet, I the LORD will answer him myself in keeping with his great idolatry.”

God loves His children; He pampers us but once we are grown, He expects us to know certain things in His Word. It was David’s desire to build a house for the Lord, but God saw that he was not qualified despite his relationship with Him. Everything I am writing about now is being recorded in the heavenlies; may this not stand against you as a witness on the Day of Judgment. Ten people can “turn a nation upside down” for God as long as they are ready to vomit fire. Where are the chosen vessels of God?
