Multiple award-winning business growth expert and Founder Business Lab Academy, Tricia Olufemi-Olumide also known as TriciaBiz has received an honorary doctorate, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Marketing & Communication (Honoris Causa), from Myles Leadership University.

The award conferment ceremony which took place on September 9, 2022, at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, was premised on TriciaBiz’s outstanding contribution in the areas of Youth Development, Marketing & Sales, Business Management, Mentorship, Leadership, and philanthropy.

Presenting the award to TriciaBiz, the school stated that her leadership qualities and profundity of thoughts have placed her on a pedestal above all her equals.

Speaking on why the management of the University saw TriciaBiz as deserving of the conferment, the Registrar, Nana Arnorld said, “The University is giving this award to you for your outstanding contribution in the above listed areas”. She  also explained that the honorary Doctorate Award acknowledges that the recipient deserved to be recognised for her unsurpassed abilities.

On receiving the award, Tricia Olufemi-Olumide said the award conferred on her by the school has encouraged her to continue in her path to improve the business ecosystem in Africa and beyond. “The last 5 years has been dedicated to bridging the knowledge gaps for micro and small businesses and providing much-needed business tools to empower entrepreneurs and increase the number of successful businesses of black origin. Recognitions like this remind me that the world is watching my efforts and contributions and this serves as an encouragement to reach more businesses,” she said.

Earlier, in his address, the institute Director of Programme, Dr. Mathew Mario, said: “We aim to provide our students with the diverse global faculty through our relationship with a global network of universities.

“Our intention is to bring global perspectives and standards to the education that our students see. Myles Leadership University is disrupting the system, changing tertiary learning in the world with activity based experiential learning at our various teaching faculty complemented by new leadership capacity building programs with an ethos of ethics innovation and entrepreneurship.
