Wood Expo 2021 schedule for October 25
In a bid to expand the potential of Nigeria’s forest reserves, wood industry players, including timber and woodworking machinery traders, professional bodies and other stakeholders, will be converging in Abuja for the second edition of the Wood Expo Nigeria.
The event, scheduled to hold at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Abuja, from October 25 to 29, 2021, with the theme: “Forest to Wealth: Exploring the potential of wood in Nigeria,” is aimed towards promoting the government agenda on Economic Sustainable Plan (ESP 2021) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) turning the aftermath of COVID -19 into an opportunity for a new Nigeria to diversify the economy.
According to the Convener, Arc. Bosede Omoloya Idegbesor (FNIA), the event is a destination for wood specialists, across sub-Sahara Africa.
“It has become the only dedicated trade show, business to a business meeting for wood and wood specialist, professionals, wood working equipment and machinery manufacturers.
“Wood Expo Nigeria will continue to be a convergence point for suppliers, manufacturers, machinery companies to showcase their products and services, innovative technologies, production scenarios and large scale machinery to key players in the wood and wood working sector in Africa and the sub-Sahara region.”
According to the organisers, the expo will feature exhibitions, back to back (B2B) meetings, discussion sessions and awards.
“Exhibitors will have access to elite trade professionals from Sub-sahara Africa and beyond to promote and display latest products and services.”
