YABATECH to hold first interschool sports competition

The Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS), Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), has concluded plans to hold the first ever inter school football competition.

The Association of Mass Communication Students (AMACOS), Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), has concluded plans to hold the first ever inter school football competition.

Speaking ahead of the competition, the Patron of AMACOS and sponsor, Sir Joseph Edoro, said students from various schools in the college who would participate in the competition would be heavily rewarded.

He said the essence of the football competition is to identify and enhance the innate ability of the students.

According to him, the competition is meant to create fun, establish a high level of togetherness, oneness and unity.

He said: “This is the first inter- school sport competition happening in Yabatech with a trophy, medals and a cash prize of N100,000 attached to it.”

He further pledged to make next year’s competition more attractive and enticing.

He said eight schools in the college, which are schools of Art, Design and Printing; Environmental studies; Liberal studies; Management and Business studies; Science; Technology and Technical education, would participate in the competition.
