SheCan returns for second edition, promises life-changing opportunities
The second edition of SheCan, Nigeria’s national conference, has been announced by the organisers at a press conference in Lagos. Scheduled to hold on Friday, June 21 at the Muson Centre, Lagos, SheCan founder, Ezinne Ezeani said this year’s edition would be more life-changing and filled with opportunities.
Partnering Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (NNPC/SNEPCo) this year, speakers expected at the event include Ezinne Ezeani, Asset Operations Manager, Shell Nigeria, Elohor Aiboni (speaking on SheCan Tech), Executive Director, Wema Bank, Folake Sanu (SheCan Finance) and the first female urologist in Nigeria, Dr Abimbola Abolarinwa (SheCan Med). The conference is aimed at empowering and helping the Nigerian woman realise her innate potentials, and develop her capabilities to achieve success through collaboration and empowerment.
The conference with the theme, “SheCan Do More,” will offer participants scholarships, grant opportunities and networking avenues. Other benefits include business empowerment and career counseling. Participants would further be exposed to recruitment opportunities, internship and mentoring and one-on-one coaching. The conference is free for every woman and attendees are urged to log on to www.shecannigeria.com to register.
SheCan Nigeria is a platform that creates an avenue for women to realise their innate potentials. According to Ezeani: “We want to drive the paradigm shift and share the voices of women in the corporate, business and medical world. This is by recognising their innate abilities to identify, acknowledge and celebrate today’s woman, her strength and achievements and to give her a voice by collaborating with other female associations.”
Promising that this year’s edition would be bigger and better than last year, she said attendees would be positively overwhelmed by the opportunities and benefits they would reap.
