Nigerian singer, Chinagorom Onuoha, better known as African China, has joined the 30 days rant challenge with new song release Photocopy.

In a video shared on social media, the legendary Ajegunle-born musician African China has jumped into the ongoing 30 Days Rant Challenge alongside his children. They performed his latest single, “Photocopy,” which sheds light on Nigeria’s pressing economic issues.

The song takes aim at the Nigerian government and political elites, condemning their mismanagement of the nation. With a distinctive Galala sound that African China is known for, “Photocopy” boldly labels the current administration as corrupt and ineffective in alleviating the suffering of the citizens.

In the music video, African China sports a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) uniform, showing solidarity with Ushie Rita Uguamaye, an NYSC member who faced backlash from the corps management after criticising President Tinubu, whom she deemed ineffective. Her plight resonated with many Nigerians, prompting them to participate in the 30 Days Rant Challenge, where individuals express their economic struggles under the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.

As Nigeria grapples with soaring inflation and high unemployment, which critics attribute to President Tinubu’s poorly conceived reforms, the 30 Days Rant Challenge has gained significant traction, drawing support from various public figures.

“Photocopy” marks another powerful entry in African China’s discography, continuing his tradition of using music to call out the government. His iconic track “Mr. President” remains a significant political anthem, highlighting the socioeconomic injustices that have plagued the country and solidifying its status as one of the most relevant politically conscious songs of this century.
