It is another freaky Friday leading up to a gbedu filled wedding Saturday.

The spirit is high with celebration, fun and relaxation. Saturdays are made for weddings, eating, drinking, meeting friends that work has kept at a distance and meeting new ones. While the spirit is high, here are 5 things to consider before going for a wedding.

  •         Remember we live in a country with poor light supply; get your clothes ready.
  •         Never go to a wedding without having something in your stomach.  I guess we have all been there at a wedding where we are irritated at how long they are going to be talking and it is time for food to be served and for some magical reason the trays filled with food keep passing above you. You unwillingly and consciously call the server and they rudely respond “I’m coming” or worse still do not reply to you. Do you not think eating before heading to a party will save you the embarrassment of screaming at the servers at a wedding? Just saying.
  •         Do not gate crash a wedding without any personal access. Plus ones are not acceptable but becoming a thing. So I suggest if you are not a friend of the bride or groom be a friend to the friend of the bride or groom.
  •         Do not steal the couples shine. You are there as a guest of the celebrant, do not turn the spot light to you like instagram sensation prettyMike. It is either by getting high or into a fight. Control your drama from taking over the couple’s memorable day.
  •         Keep it simple; it can definitely be tempting to want to consume all the amazing delicacies you see, trust me such a time is not the right time to go on a stomach experiment. Is that the right way to go at a wedding? Does the place have a rest room or a bush?
  •         Go with a pin. It is not new for a wardrobe malfunction to happen anywhere and at any time, so a wedding is not exempted. Go with pins for such unforeseen moments of heart go with a pin.
  •         Save yourself the stress of wearing something you are not comfortable with, especially for the ladies who do not know how to work in heels.
  •         Have some regard for your host by not under dressing. It is kind of disrespectful to the bride and groom who invited you, if you paid for aso ebi, your gele needs to be towering above everyone’s and if you didn’t now’s the time to pull out your best
  •         For the sake of hygiene do have the decency to be smell good without any body odor or mouth odor
