Gold Glitter Eyes and Red Lips
There’s no look more iconic look for Christmas than gold glittery eyes and bold red lips to match. Asides from being the two most popular color shades associated with the season, the two colors hold their place as a great look.

To achieve this look, make sure to use a primer to keep your eyeshadow in place. Also, use a translucent powder to brush again excess glitter as glitter can be messy. For the finishing touch, throw on your red bright lipstick to complete the look. Be sure to prime your lips beforehand by buffing away dead skin with an old toothbrush and sealing with Vaseline.

The Smokey Eye
Dramatic Smokey eye is another Christmas favorite makeup look because it goes great with every outfit.

To achieve this look, use a dark grey, brown or black eyeshadow and blend across your eyelid. Use a cream-based shadows on your brow bone to maximize the Smokey effect. As a finishing touch, line your eyes and add mascara to give volume to your eyelashes.

Removing your smokey eyes the next morning can be stressful, so as a tip, use coconut oil to wipe off your makeup. Coconut oil not only works great as a makeup remover, but it also nourishes and hydrates the face.

Dark Green Eyes
This eye color shade can be quite risky to pull off, but when done,is definitely a look. To wear this look properly, you need to know the right shade of green to wear to match your hair and skin tone.

You also need to know how to apply it properly to make sure it packs the right impact.
When doing bold green eyes, start by applying and blending the eyeshadow first, keeping everything else until that is done.
Tone down the rest of your makeup to match and highlight the green shade instead of clashing with it.

Matte Plum Lips
Dark lip shades are great day and night looks but you should opt for darker shades as your evening look. If you choose to wear full matte plum lips during the day, be sure to opt for nude makeup to compliment it.

For a lighter look, opt for burgundy with a hint of pink or choose one with a brownish hint for darker looks.

Nude Lips
The trick to getting the right nude lips to make sure your lips are in great condition. To prep your lips, use a lip exfoliated or a homemade sugar scrub with a toothbrush. This removes dead skin cells after which you should apply a lip balm and give it time to soak in.
Once this is done, line your lips with a lip liner to give them a fuller appearance. Next, add your lip shade and some lip gloss on it (if you want). Rub some highlighter to the centre of your bottom lip to make it light- reflecting and appear fuller as well.

Glitter Cut Crease
Cut creases became popular this year and it would seem they have no intention of going out of style anytime soon. While it could be very tricky to get the hang of at first, with a lot of practice you would no doubt be able to get it right.

A tip to getting this right is to focus on achieving the cut crease first and cleaning up the excesses after.

When choosing your Christmas Day outfit, it wouldn’t hurt to also choose a makeup look that compliments your outfit. To make your decision easier, you could choose to wear any of these makeup looks.
