Looking to land a role on a Tyler Perry show? Renting a billboard to get his attention may not be a bad idea!

Racquel Bailey, the actress who we reported earlier found herself a media sensation after she rented multiple billboards across Atlanta to get Tyler Perry’s attention has landed a part on his new show.

The actress is set to star in a series by BET, Perry’s new show, “Sistas,” which is about a group of girlfriends who are all single. It stars KJ Smith, Ebony Obsidian, Mignon Von and Novi Brown and is directed, written and executive produced by Perry.

According to a report by the celebrity gossip site, TMZ, ‘Sistas’ films out of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta and Bailey will play a police officer who once dated one of the leads in the show. She will be in the season one finale and may appear in season two, TMZ reported.

It is further gathered that before getting a part on “Sistas,” Bailey already auditioned for a Perry project, although it is unknown if it was the upcoming BET show is unclear.

TMZ also reported that the billboard got Bailey 20 auditions, and she booked two other gigs before getting “Sistas.”

We also reported Perry’s reaction to the billboard advert. Back in June, around the time Bailey’s billboard went viral, Perry asked that people not spend money on extravagant measures to get his attention and stick to auditioning. In response to the billboard, Perry wrote on social media,

“This is not the way to get my attention if you’re looking for a role in one of my shows,” Perry wrote in a Facebook post. “Please DON’T DO THIS, SAVE YOUR MONEY!! This is the third time that someone has done this. PLEASE STOP! To audition is FREE!! I’m sure you can use that money for a better purpose.”
