Grammy-award winning singer Adele has released her long-awaited fourth studio album 30 to positive reception on Friday.

Her first album in six years, 30, is inspired by Adele’s divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki. The album out via Columbia features previously shared single Easy on Me, one of Adele’s many collaborations with Greg Kurstin.

The album also features contributions from Chris Stapleton (on a bonus track), Ludwig Göransson, Max Martin, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Shellback.

Adele premiered new songs from 30 for the first time during a CBS special on November 14. The program also featured an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The singer also previewed Hold On, another single off the album, in a holiday-themed Amazon advertisement shortly after revealing the album’s full tracklist at the beginning of November.

Next year, Adele is scheduled to take the stage for two nights at Hyde Park in London, her first live shows since 2017. While she is yet to announce further tour plans for the record, the singer nixed suggestions of a Las Vegas residency in a recent interview with Rolling Stone.

30 comes after Adele’s 2015 album 25. 25 won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2017 Grammys. The singer’s most popular single, off the album Hello, won the awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Last fall, she returned to Saturday Night Live for the third time, hosting for the first time instead of appearing as the episode’s musical guest.

30 has received a score of 89 out of 100 on Metacritic, indicating ‘universal acclaim’ from reviewers. At the same time, fans took to social media in droves to praise the release and share crying memes to react to the stars powerful lyrics.

Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield proclaimed 30 to be Adele’s best album yet and said she has “never sounded more ferocious.”

He wrote: “You wouldn’t think it was possible, but her vocals have gotten even more expressive.”
