Between June and August 10, 2018, the second edition of Shop Talk will be aired. The popular web show is shift from season 1’s barbershop conversations to roundtable conversations.

Targeted at men, Shop Talk is a brainchild of Adeolu Adefarasin, an actor, speaker and presenter.

Adeolu Adefarasin was born to a pastor and he is the last of 3 children. He is Known for his role as Nathan in New Money, he has also featured in hit films like Wedding Party 1 and 2, My wife and I and The Eve.

Adefarasin gained his first degree in acting from the Arts University of Bournemouth before attending the prestigious New York Film Academy. He is known for his brilliant performance in his films and TV Series like the Skinny Girl in Transit.

He has acted in London and was cast in critically successful shows such as Shakespeare’s Hamlet. He also acted in the US before his move to Nollywood.

He has passion and flair for translating stories into action hence his stellar performance in his films.

Apart from his talents as an actor, he produced and launched a show in 2017, Shop Talk which he equally is the host. This show got good reviews and had huge success.

It was different, it was fresh, an interesting heart to heart, not scripted, hosted in a barber’s shop hence the name. This gave an avenue for men to discuss issues that aren’t normally dealt with.  His aim of the show? ‘A platform for men to have conversations about real life issues while seeking to inspire, empower and stir a need to find solutions for situations in the society.’ he said.

The success of the first season naturally birthed the second edition. This second edition is a round-table discussion and embraces other topics that affect life. The topics discussed in this season are not limited to men’s issues and challenges but important issues that affect every individual. He has lent his voice to discuss issues like mental and emotional health and age discrimination.

Although Adeolu has veered off from the path followed by the men in his family, he has in such short time, become a voice to reckon with.
