The 10th season of Big Brother Naija began on July 26 and 27 with the introduction of 29 housemates drawn from various professional backgrounds, including law, medicine, entertainment, and the culinary arts.

The show’s double launch weekend featured 15 female and 14 male contestants who entered the house amid changes to the competition’s format, including the introduction of a Sunday Head of House (HOH) challenge and a new “Influential Player of the Week” designation.

In the early days of the show, house dynamics have begun to take shape with alliances forming and disagreements surfacing.

Jason Jae, a creative director from Ondo State, emerged as the first Head of House. His tenure began amid a dispute with fellow housemate Imisi over kitchen control. Separately, contestants Isabella and Thelma were involved in an argument over food, while tensions were also observed between Rooboy and Kuture, and Sultana and Ivatar.

Housemates have used the opening days to define their roles within the group. Koyin, a 21-year-old model, told others he intends to stir relationship drama. Faith, a 25-year-old medical doctor, described himself as “polyamorous” and has drawn early attention from viewers.

Other participants, including Big Soso, Doris, Dede, and DJ Gigi Jasmine, have also been visible in group interactions.

The show’s format continues to rely on continuous surveillance and public voting to determine progress and eventual elimination. BBNaija Season 10 airs on DStv Channel 198, GOtv Channel 49, and via online streaming on Showmax.

Eviction shows take place on Sundays across Africa Magic channels.
