Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy is set to headline the halftime show at the first-ever NFL regular-season game in Paris, adding another major international sporting stage to his growing list of performances.

The Grammy-winning singer will perform on Sunday, October 25, when the Pittsburgh Steelers face the New Orleans Saints at Stade de France in Saint-Denis, France. The game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. CEST.

The announcement was made by the National Football League on Thursday, September 17. The Paris game will mark the NFL’s first regular-season fixture in France and is part of the league’s record seven international games across seven countries and four continents in the 2026 season.

For Burna Boy, the performance will also mark a return to Stade de France. In April 2025, he became the first African artiste to headline a solo concert at the stadium, selling all 80,000 tickets for the show.

Reacting to the announcement, Burna Boy said returning to the stadium for the NFL event was significant to him.

“Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything,” he said.

He added that he intends to use the platform to represent African music and deliver a memorable performance.

Burna Boy’s latest international sporting appearance came at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he joined Colombian singer Shakira during the tournament’s historic first-ever final halftime show.

The pair performed “Dai Dai”, their collaboration and the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, during the show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19. Their performance came alongside appearances from Madonna, BTS and Justin Bieber, with the show closing with Coldplay.

The Paris performance continues Burna Boy’s run of appearances at major international sporting events. He previously performed at the UEFA Champions League final in Istanbul and the NBA All-Star Game in 2023.

The NFL has also announced other artistes for its 2026 international halftime shows, including Ayra Starr for the London game, Ricky Martin and Pedro Sampaio for Rio de Janeiro, Cage The Elephant for Munich and The Warning for Mexico City.

Burna Boy’s full halftime performance in Paris will be broadcast live in France on France Télévisions and beIN Sports, while L’Équipe will air the game later that evening.
