Charges against rapper Tory Lanez for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion have been upheld by a Los Angeles County judge.

Tory Lanez had been accused of shooting Megan Thee Stallion’s feet following a dispute in Hollywood last summer.

New details of the shooting emerged in the court sitting held on Tuesday. An LA cop testified on Tuesday, December 14, that rapper had shouted, “Dance, bitch, dance!” at hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion before shooting the ground near her feet.

Los Angeles Police Detective (LAPD) detective Ryan Stogner said, “[Megan] observed Mr. Peterson holding a firearm, and then she observed him start to shoot.”

“Megan immediately felt pain to her feet, observed blood, fell to the ground, and then crawled to an adjacent driveway of a residence. … She described her injuries as bleeding profusely.”

The detective also noted that Lanez, 29, apologized for shooting Megan and “offered her money and begged her to please not say anything,” according to Megan’s account. Megan also told the detective that Lanez made “a reference to the fact he was already on probation.”

Det. Stogner further disclosed that Megan initially claimed that she was injured after stepping on broken glass. She later admitted that it was a gun injury, claiming that she said it was glass because of the political climate and she was afraid cops might shoot Tory if she said there was a gun in the car.

Real name Daystar Peterson, Tory Lanez’s countenance showed no signs of remorse in court. Before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Borjon upheld the assault and weapons possession charges against the 29-year-old, the rapper shook his head, evidently in disgust, numerous times during the 90-minute preliminary hearing, yelling at a detective at one point.

However, his defense attorney declined to comment on the charges outside the courtroom.

Lanez and a 25-year-old victim, Megan P. Stallion, allegedly got into an argument while travelling in an SUV together in the Hollywood Hills, according to prosecutors. Lanez is accused of shooting the Savage rapper’s feet.

In light of the shooting , Tory Lanez was charged in October 2020 with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He pleaded not guilty to both charges in November 2020. He could face 22 years and eight months in prison if convicted of said charges.
