Chris Brown Sings In Pidgin With Davido In New Song “Hmmm”
American singer and songwriter Chris Brown has just released his “11:11” deluxe album where he featured Nigerian superstar Davido on the track titled “Hmmm”. This marks their seventh collaboration.
“Hmmm” is a track that combines Chris Brown’s R&B style with Davido’s Afrobeats flair. The song has already gained traction, with over 200,000 views on YouTube and more than three million streams on Spotify.
Additionally, his pidgin english lyrics add a unique flavour to the song, making it stand out among other collaborations.
His verse in “Hmmm” includes the following lines in pidgin English:
[Verse 2]

The two artists have a total of 6 songs together. “Hmmm” marks the sixth collaboration between the two artists among their other projects like:
“Blow My Mind” (July 2019)
“Lower Body” (Oct. 2019)
“Shopping Spree” (Nov. 2020)
“Nobody Has to Know” (July 2022)
“Sensational” (Oct. 2023)
Interestingly, he seems to be stirring some drama on the album. He appears to diss Migos rapper Quavo on one of the tracks. Their feud reportedly started over Quavo’s rumored fling with his ex, Karrueche Tran.
Chris Brown released his eleventh studio album, titled 11:11, on April 11, 2024. The album features a mix of R&B, pop, Afrobeats, and dancehall influences. It’s a double album with two sides, each containing 11 tracks.
