Cynthia Erivo teases new single, ‘Replay’, with artistic cover

British born actress and singer, Cynthia Erivo, teases new song release, Replay, with an artistic cover photo.

Erivo shared this post in February 25, 2025, via her Instagram page, generating significant anticipation among fans. The song will be out this Friday.

The announcement also marks her return to music following her 2021 album, Ch. 1 Vs. 1.

In the past weeks, Erivo’s portrayal of Elphaba in the film adaptation of Wicked has garnered critical acclaim. Her performance earned her nominations for Best Actress at the 2025 Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Notably, this marks her second Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, making her the second Black actress, after Viola Davis, to achieve this distinction.

The film, Wicked has also been nominated for the Oscar Awards coming up this Sunday, March 2, 2025.

In another development, Cynthia Erivo would be hosting the 78th Tony Awards on June 8, 2025. The event is set to hold at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City, to recognise notable achievement in Broadway productions.

Beyond her cinematic achievements, Erivo is set to take on the role of Jesus Christ in the Hollywood Bowl’s upcoming production of “Jesus Christ Superstar,” scheduled for August 2025. This casting showcases her versatility and commitment to diverse roles in the performing arts.
