Watch: Davido – “Nobody Supports Me, Just Hate”
Born David Adedeji Adeleke but known professionally as Davido, the Nigerian music star is one of Nigeria’s biggest music exports.
From dropping chart-toppers to club bangers, Davido has carved a niche for himself in the music industry and is constantly putting Africa on the global map.
One would like to think that with his level of success, he would have the massive support of his listeners but according to the singer, he has been in the industry for seven years and all he receives his hate.
In a video he released, the singer thanked his supporters and fans for the love shown him for his recent single, Blow My Mind with international hip-hop artist, Chris Brown. In the same video, the multiple award-winning singer also talked about why he receives so much hate in the music industry.
He said:
“Me I’m already used to it. I’ve been in the industry for seven years and nobody supports me. It’s just hate, from morning to night, it’s just hate. Because of what? My papa get money, na my fault. I work hard, I deliver it, I take care of my people. So if you got a problem with me…”
