Don Jazzy’s Supremos FC join race for N50m prize in Lagos Liga
Renowned music mogul Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, has launched Supremos FC and registered the club in Lagos Liga.
Lagos Liga is Nigeria’s private football league, which kicks off in December.
With a prize pool of N50 million, N8.33 million per match, Supremos FC aims to make an impact in the football scene, needing just six games to claim the trophy.

Joining Supremos FC in the league are several new clubs, including Mavbrooks SC, founded by savvy accountant Ayodeji E. Olowe; Applebee FC, led by Nnazilim Egbuonu, co-founder of Travelbeta; Firecrackers FC, established by tech innovator Stephanie Etiaka; Jarus FC, created by Suraj Oyewale, aka Sir Jarus, CEO of Jarus Homes; and Superstar FC, founded by tech entrepreneur Seye Bandele.
“I’m thrilled to be part of this innovative league,” Don Jazzy said. “We’re committed to developing grassroots football and providing a platform for talented players to shine.”
Lagos Liga stands out as one of Africa’s largest private leagues, offering non-professional footballers and former players the chance to compete in 7-a-side matches for substantial prizes.
Fans also have opportunities to participate in skills challenges, adding to the excitement.
The league’s prize money per game surpasses that of most other African football leagues.
