Efe Denies Being Blacklisted By Big Brother Naija Organisers
Efe, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season two, has denied claims that he was blacklisted by the show’s organisers, Multichoice Nigeria, after winning the competition.
Efe issued the statement after a media personality, Noble Igwe alleged that the former BBN winner fell out of grace with the show organizers because he disrespected a Multichoice boss. According to Igwe, Efe “sat in the car and asked for Oga to come first before he comes out.”
Responding to the claim, Efe stated in a statement via his Instagram page on Monday that the said incident was false and never happened.
“I was brought up in a family and society where respect to a fellow human is highly valued and respect to elders is unquestionable. Unnecessary ego-boosting, protocols, or feeling too much importance have never been attractive to me given my humble background,” Efe wrote.
“Therefore it is unimaginable for someone to conceive such character from me as a person and create a scenario that never existed. Hence I am clearly stating that the instance (scenario) asserted that is making rounds in the media and public is false and never happened or occurred. This is news to me as it is to you.”
The rapper added that he has “a cordial relationship with Multichoice Nigeria and we are one family.”
“Let me take this opportunity to thank Multichoice Nigeria as an organisation, and her members of staff once again for giving me the platform to showcase my talent as a music artist thus creating vast amounts of opportiunities shaping my person and brand today. I don’t take the platform for granted. It is a well-cherished investment. I’m immensely grateful and commend your continous effort in empowering the youths of our great country Nigeria.”
Born Michael Ejeba, Efe won the Big Brother Naija season 2. In 2017, he was appointed as an Ambassador of entertainment and creative industry role in plateau and Youth Ambassador by the Nigeria Ministry of Youth and sport.
