Elon Musk, the new owner of X, has reactivated the account of Kanye West, who was banned from the platform last December for violating the site’s rules on inciting violence.

West’s account was suspended after he posted a series of antisemitic tweets and images, including a picture of a Swastika merged with the Star of David. He also posted a tweet that appeared to threaten violence against Pete Davidson, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend.

West’s account has not yet been restored to its full functionality. He will not be able to monetize his account, and no ads will appear next to his posts.

It remains to be seen whether West will abide by the terms of his agreement with Musk. If he does not, he could be banned from X again.
