Eminem to be a grandpa, writes new song for daughter Hailie
Eminem is soon to be a grandfather, having written a song for daughter Hailie.
Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is officially entering a new phase of life: grand fatherhood. His daughter, Hailie Jade Scott Mathers, is expecting her first child with husband Evan McClintock. This was revealed in a heartwarming music video for his latest song, “Temporary,” featuring Skylar Grey.

In the video, Hailie, a successful musician and podcaster, surprises Eminem with a blue shirt emblazoned with the word “Grandpa.” The rapper’s emotional reaction is captured as he holds a sonogram photo. The video also features a touching montage of childhood memories shared between Eminem and Hailie, culminating in footage from her recent wedding to Evan McClintock.
Eminem dedicated the song “Temporary” to Hailie, reflecting on the circle of life and expressing his enduring love and support. In one poignant lyric, he raps, “So Hailie Jade, I wrote this song to help you cope with life when I’m gone.”

Following the video’s release, Hailie took to Instagram to share photos of herself and McClintock looking at the sonogram, announcing that their baby is due in 2025. The couple has been together since 2016, got engaged in February 2023, and married in May of the same year.

He has won numerous awards, including 15 Grammy Awards, and is widely considered one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time.
