Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Faith Adewale, popularly known as Faith, has opened up about the emotional and financial struggles he faced before and during his time on the show.
In a post shared on his social media page, Faith revealed that he took a ₦5 million loan just to secure a spot in the BBNaija house. He explained that he had seen the show as an opportunity to change his life and pursue fame, but things did not go as planned.
Faith said the experience soon became overwhelming, and he struggled to cope with the pressure inside the house. He was eventually disqualified after an altercation with a fellow housemate, Sultana, which further worsened his emotional state.
According to him, the pressure in the house was overwhelming, and at some point, he requested therapy more than three times due to his mental and emotional breakdown.
His confession has since sparked mixed reactions across social media. While some sympathised with him for being open about his mental health struggles, others criticised his decision to take such a huge loan for a reality show.
One user, @Dannyace, wrote, “Faith went in for the prize, came out with therapy bills.” Another, @LordCrypto, commented, “You took ₦5 million loan and yet you couldn’t keep yourself together. You should be sleeping in jail if the loan sharks were serious people.”
