Filmhouse Group has tightened security across its locations following a security incident in the car park of one of its cinemas in the early hours of Saturday.

The company said the incident occurred outside its premises and was unrelated to its regular operations, adding that relevant authorities are currently investigating the matter.

Filmhouse also commended its security personnel for their bravery, saying they stood between danger and the people in their care, helping to contain the situation and restore safety.

“Their commitment and courage in that moment will not be forgotten,” the company said.

The cinema operator assured customers that the safety and wellbeing of its staff and guests remain its highest priority.

It added that additional precautionary measures have been introduced across all its locations, with security increased and prioritised as the company continues to monitor the situation.
