Thank God It’s Weekend!!! The time to relax and unwind from all the stress during the week is here! Here are some films that can help to make your weekend an enjoyable one:
Darkest Minds
This is a science fiction film centred around teenagers who have developed uncanny abilities that have made them powerful and capable of superhuman abilities. Seen as a threat, they are coerced into detainment camps.
Ruby Daly escapes and follows other teenagers who are seeking a safe haven away from the government. On the run, they join forces using each person’s peculiar ability to protect themselves against the threat. Actors featured in this film include Harris Dickinson, Mandy Moore and Gwendolyn Christie.
Seven and a Half Dates
This is a Nollywood romantic film about a young lady Bisola Gomez, played by Mercy Johnson Aigbe, who is focused on her career. But all her efforts to find love is not fruitful.
Somehow inspired by a game of chess, her father decides to play the matchmaker. He sets his daughter up on 10 dates with different people with hopes that one will be a prospective husband for her. Other seasoned Nollywood acts featured in this film are Jim Iyke, Ken Erics, Ali Nuhu and Bayray McNwizu.
The Equalizer II
Mysterious and elusive Robert McCall (played by Denzel Washington) is the “go to guy” for people who seek vigilante justice for an injustice meted to them. But it becomes quite personal for him when a group of thugs kill his best friend and former colleague, Susan Plummer.
In a revenge mission only peculiar to Denzel Washington, the character ruthlessly annihilates the highly trained assassins who seek his destruction.
