Financial domination is more than just a relationship based upon an inequitable power dynamic, says Mistress Harley

In recent years, the feminist movement has gained significant momentum. The Feminism And Gender Equality Around The World report from Ipsos provides an overview of the state of feminism and gender equality around the world based on survey results from across 24 countries.

The report highlighted that gender inequality is still prevalent in society with the majority of respondents still thinking the current situation is one of inequality in terms of social, political and/or economic rights (72% on average).

More and more women are speaking out about the inequality they face and the need for change. One woman has been spearheading the discussion: Mistress Harley.

Women though are more positive when it comes to their own lives – six in ten on average agree they have “full equality with men in their country and the freedom to reach their full dreams and aspirations” – although this still means that in several countries many women disagree.

A Feminist For Others

Mistress Harley is a feminist in the field of Techdomme and beyond. Harley is using her position to start discussions about female empowerment in a society where women are still battling for equality.

“All of my art is motivated by a desire to lift women up from the patriarchy and show men that they need to provide value to women they wish to court or receive attention from.” she shares.

Mistress Harley has long encouraged women to step up and let their voices be heard. She has been conducting talks and classes to empower them to stand up for themselves and create art that teaches men that patriarchy is a failed model for governance and society.

Power Exchange: A Path To A Better Future

In a traditional power dynamic, the man is the head of the household, and the woman is submissive. This fosters an imbalance of power and a feeling of inequality. However, exploring power exchange in relationships creates a more balanced dynamic.

Through her exploits in Techdomme, Mistress Harley is on a mission to overthrow traditional power dynamics by building her business around men giving her control of their lives.

“I use high-tech devices to take consensual control of the lives of people who pay me for this. It is a power exchange in which a client hands over their devices, social media, banking and more to my control because we both desire for me to have all the control over their lives. It is an admission by the client that they do not want the responsibility for their own life choices.” she shares.

According to Mistress Harley, power exchange is the key to her art because it allows women to see a reversal of societal norms and tap into their true potential. By learning from her experiences with men, women can foster an environment where a healthy exchange of power can occur, let go of their inhibitions and take control. This is the key to unlocking their true strength and power. Relationships where a woman also asserts dominance create a balanced and healthy environment and a challenge to the existing paradigm that often defines male and female relationships.
