Sharp, warming, and packed with natural goodness, ginger shots are a simple way to support your immune system using ingredients you likely already have at home.

Ginger shots have become a quiet staple in many wellness routines, and for good reason. INGREDIENTS

2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and chopped (about 1 tablespoon of juice)

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (from about 1 lemon)

¼ cup water (or coconut water, for subtle sweetness)

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for an extra kick)

INSTRUCTIONS

Place the chopped ginger, lemon juice, water, honey or maple syrup, and cayenne pepper into a blender.

Blend on high speed for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the mixture is smooth.

Strain the mixture into a cup, using a fine sieve or cheesecloth.

Press down on the pulp with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.

Serve the ginger shot in a small glass, or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.

Shake well before use.
