The Perfect Pizza Spot?
Most people are looking to eat some good comfort food after a long, strenuous day of work. After about 6pm on a Tuesday evening, takeaway food accompanied with a 30-45 minute series or film is the perfect company for the infamous Lagos traffic. Sometimes all you need is some old fashioned cheesy pizza to give your day a happy ending.
Pizze-Riah has a great reputation around town for having really good pizzas. Located at 13 Musa Yar’Adua Victoria Island, Lagos, the restaurant has a large outside space, perfect for large groups and a small intimate space inside for a cosy date.
Being a huge protein addict, it was very essential to find a pizza which would fulfil my cravings. As Italian pizzas tend to be quite simple, usually tomato-based with cheese and a few toppings, nothing too extra-meaty. I decided to go for a half pepperoni and half four-cheese with salami.
The pizza lived up to its reputation. Sometimes pizza tends to get dry when it gets a bit cold but after I had settled down in my car, ready to eat it, the meal was fresh, and very juicy. The four-cheese pizza is great for cheese lovers but can be a bit too intense for average pizza eaters. The pizza was getting a bit too soggy towards the end. But it didn’t bother me too much because by the time I looked down at the box the whole pizza was gone.
Verdict
I would definitely recommend this spot for pizza lovers as they have great customer service and a variety of pizzas for both omnivores and vegetarians. It also looks like a great spot for a big family hang out, or kids’ pizza party, perhaps after the rainy season is over.
