GRAMMY Announces New Category, Replaces Best Pop Dance Recording
The 2025 GRAMMY Awards have introduced the Best Dance Pop Recording category, taking the place of the old Best Pop Dance Recording.
The new category is expected to celebrate the growing blend of pop and dance music, for artistes who are making waves in the genre.

Another shift to keep an eye on is the new home for Best Remixed Recording. It now joins the Pop & Dance/Electronic Field, giving remixes a more prominent platform.
Meanwhile, the Songwriter of the Year category has been revamped to include more artists, opening the door to a wider range of musical voices.
According to the Recording Academy Chief Executive Officer, Harvey Mason, the Academy want to keep up with the evolving music industry while ensuring that the GRAMMYs remain a diverse, inclusive space for all kinds of talent.
The highly anticipated 67th GRAMMY Awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
