The global Christian audience will today witness the commencement of the 14th edition of the Healing Streams Live Healing Services with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, a faith-based healing programme which organisers describe as a platform for spiritual upliftment and divine healing.
The three-day event, which begins today, 18 July 2025, will be streamed live from 2pm (GMT+1) across various media platforms, including herald.healingstreams.tv and affiliated satellite networks. It will also be aired on terrestrial television and radio stations in Nigeria and abroad, with multi-lingual support to cater to international participants.
Now in its 14th edition, the Healing Streams Live Healing Services have become one of the most anticipated religious healing gatherings globally, drawing millions of viewers from diverse locations. According to the organisers, the sessions will feature prayer ministrations, music, scripture-based teachings, and personal testimonies of those who claim to have experienced healing during previous editions.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the convener and founder of Christ Embassy, is expected to lead the healing sessions and share Christian teachings during the broadcasts. His ministry, known for emphasising faith healing, says the event is open to individuals seeking physical or emotional healing, spiritual guidance, or those supporting friends and family in need of divine intervention.
Participants are encouraged to register via the event’s official portal, although the sessions remain accessible to the general public without cost. Organisers have also advised participants to indicate any specific health challenges during registration, to receive what they described as “tailored preparatory resources.”
Testimonies shared ahead of today’s opening feature stories of personal transformation. One account, attributed to a participant from China, claimed healing from long-standing physical and mental health challenges, while others from Portugal and Uruguay have reported recovery from cancer and mental health conditions, respectively. These claims remain based on individual testimonies, with no independent verification provided.
In previous editions, the event has attracted both acclaim from believers and critical analysis from health professionals and sceptics concerned about the reliance on faith-based solutions in place of conventional medical treatment. Nonetheless, Pastor Chris’ Healing Streams remain popular, particularly within Nigeria’s Pentecostal community and in other parts of Africa, Asia, and Europe.
Organisers maintain that the Healing Streams programme should not be seen purely as a healing service but as an opportunity for personal reflection, spiritual awakening, and communal faith-building.
As proceedings begin today, viewers across the world, including patients in hospitals and individuals connecting from homes and religious centres, will be tuning in with varying expectations.
