TEDxLagos brought together Africans from different walks of life to Muson Centre, Onikan on Saturday, August 18, 2018 for a day of deep insights, talks, networking and so much more.

The event which was themed Spotlight and anchored by Ace Comedian, Bovi and Uche Pedro. The event also featured 12 speakers ranging from a Historian, a Cultural Entrepreneur, Disability Advocates, Media Personality to a Health Advocate and two performers.

Speakers included Olasupo Shasore, Clare Omatseye, and Tokini Peterside while there were performances by guitarist Femi Leye and the Dreamcatchers Dance Academy. It was indeed a day filled with inspiration and passion.

A standing ovation greeted Tope Okupe who spoke on building structures with disabled people in mind. James George shared futuristic plans that could help transform the architectural landscape in Nigeria and Olubankole Wellington emphasized the need for us to take action and fix the Nation.

The foyer of the Agip Hall at Muson Centre was transformed into an exhibition area/simulcast lounge and this served as a means of engaging the audience alongside the outdoor activity areas and workshops organized by Skoll Foundation and Union Bank. The event was brought to a close with a Networking Cocktail by Johnnie Walker.
