Add some spice to your Sunday dinner with this homemade peppered gizzard recipe. 

Ingredients 

  • Gizzard
  • Bell Pepper 
  • Habanero pepper 
  • Scallions (to garnish)
  • Olive oil 
  • Salt 
  • Thyme 
  • Black pepper 

Recipe 

  • First, wash and boil the gizzard in a pot for about 15 minutes, adding some salt and black pepper.
  • Dry blend some habanero pepper and bell pepper. 
  • Chop some onions and scallions. 
  • Drain the boiled gizzard in a colander and set it aside to fry. 
  • Fry until crispy in some olive oil. 
  • Heat some oil in another bowl, then add onions and fry for two minutes. 
  • Add the blended peppers, bouillon powder, thyme, and black pepper
  • Put in your gizzard, and garnish with vegetables and scallions. 
  • Your peppered gizzard is ready to be served.
