Love some fufu? Then you should try plantain fufu, a much tastier and lighter version of this staple Nigerian meal.

Highly nutritious, plantains are grain-free and gluten-free and a good source of Magnesium, Calcium, and many other nutrients.

Learn to make plantain fufu by following this recipe:

Ingredients

  • Green plantain
  • Water

Method

  • Peel plantains and chop them into smaller bits.
  • Add these chopped bits into a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into a pot placed over medium heat, stirring as it thickens, forming a stretchy, dough-like consistency.
  • Once done, bring down and leave to cool for a few minutes before eating, allowing it to firm up.

Enjoy with any vegetable soup of your choice.
