A top-tier talent manager and the mother of Wizkid’s children, Jada Pollock, has spoken out about the challenges she faces being tagged as merely “Wizkid’s baby mama.”

In a recent chat with BET UK, Jada expressed her displeasure at how the label often overshadows her professional achievements and contributions to the entertainment industry.

She highlighted how frustrating it is to have her hard work reduced to just her personal relationship.

She shared a specific incident that left a sour taste in her mouth. After Wizkid clinched a Grammy, she penned an inspiring statement celebrating the remarkable rise of Afrobeat music. But instead of focusing on her insightful perspective, blogs chose to sensationalize it with headlines calling her “Wizkid’s baby mama.”

“When Wizkid won a Grammy, I wrote a statement about how far Afrobeat has come. They published the statement, and the caption was ‘Wizkid baby mama.’ The narrative does not recognise that you’re an entrepreneur and a hardworking businesswoman. I’m not only a mother but also a manager, and I’ve helped build a legacy,” Jada explained.

Jada, who has been in a relationship with Wizkid since 2014, welcomed their first child, Zion, in 2017. The pair expanded their family in 2022 with the birth of another son, AJ.

Despite her ties to Wizkid, Jada insists she’s more than just a mother to his children.
