As conversations around gender equity and inclusion continue to gain prominence, globally, Sony Music West Africa has announced its flagship Women’s Month initiative, Bloom & Bloom, a series of panel sessions dedicated to spotlighting and accelerating the women shaping Africa’s creative and business landscape.

Anchored around this year’s IWD “Give to Gain,” Bloom & Bloom is a call to rethink success as a shared ecosystem driven by collaboration, mentorship and long-term investment. The initiative continues to evolve from a ceremonial gathering into a cultural and business forum aimed at expanding access and opportunity for women across Africa’s creative and corporate industries.

Scheduled to hold in Lagos on March 19 and 20, the two-day experience will open with the Greenhouse Panel Sessions, an intimate forum designed to foster honest, solution-driven conversations. The sessions will bring together a cross-section of creators, founders, and industry leaders to explore issues ranging from intellectual property and ownership to scaling creative ventures into sustainable businesses.

This year’s speakers include actress Mimi Chaka, media entrepreneur and founder of OloriSuperGal Media, Tosin Ajibade, PiggyVest co-founder Odunayo Eweniyi, creative entrepreneur Kiekie, AFRIMA producer Victoria Nkong, and reality TV personality Alex Asogwa, among others. Collectively, they represent a new generation of women redefining leadership and influence within Africa’s evolving creative economy.

The event will culminate in the Bloom & Bloom Mixer on March 20, an invitation-only gathering bringing together stakeholders across music, film, fashion, technology, media and entrepreneurship. Beyond celebration, the mixer is designed to spark meaningful connections, from partnerships and investments to mentorship opportunities that extend beyond Women’s Month.

Supported by partners including Tolaram Group, Flying Fish, MISKAY, Hip TV, Audio Girl Africa, Echoo Room and Severe Nature, the initiative reflects a broader commitment to advancing women’s leadership and representation. These collaborations underscore a shared vision of building more inclusive and sustainable ecosystems across industries.

At a time when International Women’s Day is increasingly framed around accelerated action and structural change, Sony Music West Africa is positioning Bloom & Bloom as a platform that moves beyond visibility to real value creation. By convening women across sectors and generations, the initiative aims to translate inspiration into implementation—where influence is shared, and opportunities are multiplied.

Through Bloom & Bloom, the company continues to extend its footprint beyond music into cultural leadership, championing equity, innovation and long-term impact across the region.
