Jada Pinkett Smith has teased the return of Red Table Talk for season 5, but the show’s teaser ignores the Oscars brawl between Will Smith and Chris Rock. 

It seems like Jada isn’t ready to say her piece yet, or maybe she might, but it is unclear whether the latest episode of the Red Table Talk will address this at all. 

The Facebook Watch talk show features Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow Smith, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield Norris, who sit with other celebrity guests for candid conversations. Returning today, new episodes of the show will stream weekly.

In the show’s trailer released on Tuesday, the new season will be packed with famous faces, many of whom are included in the trailer.

The premiere episode for Red Table Talk Season 5 featured 8-time Grammy nominee Janelle Monáe, who will open up about her journey to come out later in life and the trauma she experienced from her father’s drug addiction.

Since its premiere, Red Table Talk has aired 100 episodes gathering over 1 billion views since May 7, 2018. when it premiered. Season 4 of the show featured some of the world’s biggest stars, including Sandra Bullock, Snoop Dog, Salma Hayek, Demi Moore, and Keanu Reeves, to name a few.

It’s garnered plenty of acclaim, including a 2021 Daytime Emmy for outstanding informative talk show. The hosts were later honoured as some of Time‘s “Most Influential People of 2021”.

Red Table Talk follows the slap at the 2022 Oscars, which Will Smith gave to Chris Rock following a G.I. Jane joke about Jada’s hair.
