Jonathan Majors’ ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with assault and criminal mischief, according to the New York Police Department. The charges come seven months after Majors was arrested for allegedly assaulting Jabbari.

Jabbari turned herself in to the NYPD’s 10th precinct in Manhattan. She is accused of scratching Majors on the right hand, tearing off the buttons of his coat, and damaging his front pocket. Majors was arrested on March 25 on misdemeanor charges for allegedly attacking Jabbari, his former partner. He faces four misdemeanor charges of harassment and assault.
Jabbari initially told police Majors hit and strangled her, but the strangulation charges were dropped. Majors has always maintained his innocence and filed his own domestic violence claim against his accuser.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office said Tuesday in court filings that any discussion of charging Jabbari with domestic assault is over and has been since September. However, a senior law enforcement official briefed on the matter said Tuesday that prosecutors and police had discussed charging Jabbari with domestic assault on the eve of Majors’ next court hearing.
It is unclear why Jabbari was arrested now, seven months after the alleged incident. She is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Majors is a rising star in Hollywood, with roles in films such as Creed III, Devotion, and the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
