Kanye West has released his long-delayed album “Donda” following a series of stadium-filled listening parties.

“Donda” was released on Sunday 29th of August after the end of West’s third listening party, a Chicago event that controversially featured appearances from Marilyn Manson and DaBaby.

Guest credits on “Donda” include Jay Z, Chris Brown, the Weeknd, Jay Electronica, the Lox, Young Thug, the late Pop Smoke, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, Lil Durk, Lil Yachty, Baby Keem, Playboi Carti, and Fivio Foreign.

Another version of “Jail” features a guest verse from DaBaby, however the current streaming version features the original JAY-Z verse rather than DaBaby’s.

Shortly ahead of Donda’s release however, West posted a pair of photos on Instagram showing text threads in which it is revealed that DaBaby’s manager was not clearing the Charlotte rapper’s verse for “Jail.”

The album is named after West’s mother Dr. Donda C. West (née Williams), who died at 58 in November 2007. Donda is also the name of Kanye West’s creative content company.

The album arrives after multiple set-and-missed release dates over the past month or so – including 23 July then 6 August.

West has publicly aired revised versions of the music at three separate stadium-sized events, which broke Apple Music’s livestreaming records: two in Atlanta, and a third in his hometown of Chicago on Thursday night.

It is West’s 10th album following 2019’s “Jesus Is King”.
