Watch: Kelly Clarkson Performs Lady Gaga’s “Shallow”

Award-winning singer, Kelly Clarkson recently performed fellow singer, Lady Gaga’s Grammy award-winning song, “Shallow”.

Clarkson performed the hit song during her, “A Minute and a Glass of Wine” segment on her “Meaning of Life” tour Friday night, which is always streamed live on Facebook.

Before performing the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper rendition of the song, Clarkson praised Gaga as one of the “nicest” people she’s met in the music industry. Clarkson also recalled the first time she and Gaga met.

“I love artists,” Clarkson told the crowd. “I know there’s a lot of competition always with artists in the industry, but there’s a lot of us that just dig each other and really get inspired by each other and what they’re doing. And this chick is amazing. We’re really different but at the same time we’re really similar in the fact that she just loves music and that’s why she’s doing what she’s doing.”

“I remember her first single, we actually did a show together, combined like for some event,” she continued. “[Gaga] wrote me a handwritten letter like note like saying, ‘Thank you so much it was an honour to open for you.'” She was the nicest human being ever. Her name is Lady Gaga.”

“It’s cool just to know that someone that talented is also really nice,” Clarkson concluded. “I’ve been rooting for her for a while. This song, I just, I love it. It’s from the movie she’s nominated for like a billion awards for and I hope she wins. I thought she and Bradley Cooper did such a good job with this song.”
