Kendrick Lamar’s New Album “Mr Morale & The Big Stepper” Drops
Kendrick Lamar’s highly anticipated double-album Mr Morale & The Big Steppers is out.
Kendrick revealed the release of his new album Mr. Morale via a link on twitter. Later on, the tweeted link was followed by the project’s lead single, “The Heart Part 5.”
His last album in 2017’s DAMN., was the first only rap album to win the Pulitzer Prize in Music. “The Heart Part 5” was his first official single since 2018. In the meanwhile, he has featured in several songs including Beyonce, J. Cole and Busta Rhymes.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, becomes his fifth official studio collection with 18 tracks that are divided into two albums.
The anticipated project has a variety of guest artists including Wu-Tang Clan luminary Ghostface Killah, Gibbons of Portishead, Summer Walker, Blxst and Beth, and Ghost face Killah.
Kendrick Lamar raps about cancel culture on “N95” lyrics like “Wtf is cancel culture I say what I want” while briefly mentioning his fiancée Whitney Alford on “Worldwide Steppers.” the song “Die Hard” gives a nostalgic feel to songs of ’80s pop.
The cover art for the album which was revealed earlier shows Alford who recently gave birth to their second child. In the picture, Lamar is crowned with thorns while holding a toddler and Alford is seated on a bed cradling an infant. They were all uniformly dressed in white coloured clothing and Kendrick was wearing khaki pants with a gun tucked into his waistband.
