Kevin Hart Opens Up About His Accident
September 1st, 2019, Kevin Hart was involved in a ghastly accident, in which his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, driven by his friend Jared Black, smashed into a tree on the Mulholland Highway near Malibu.
He suffered major back injuries that left him in the hospital for a month. The authorities blamed the accident on reckless driving.
Today, for the first time since the accident, the famous comedian and actor spoke about his experience on his IGTV updating his fans about his recovery.
Hart filmed his healing journey right from the hospital until when he was undergoing physical therapy at home.
He viewed the accident as God urging him to rest. “In this case, I feel God basically told me to sit down.”
In his Twitter bio, Kevin Hart says of himself: “I WORK HARD!!! That pretty much sums me up!!! Everybody Wants To Be Famous But Nobody Wants To Do The Work.”
The famous comedian also confesses the accident was God speaking to him and now, he sees the world from differently.
“When God talks, you’ve got to just listen, some of the craziest things that happen to you ends up being the things you needed the most… After my accident, I see things differently, I see my life from a whole new perception. I don’t take today for granted, tomorrow is not promised”
Continually through the video, he expresses his gratitude to God, his family, and his fans.
“My appreciation for life is through the roof. I’m thankful for my family, my friends.”
The star, who began his career as a stand-up comedian in his home city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is now a major Hollywood star.
He will next appear in Jumanji: The Next Level, a film he completed before the crash. The movie is set to be released in December.
